Getting Married In Scotland

One of the greatest reasons for getting married in Scotland is that you can exchange your vows practically anywhere you want.

There are two types of marriage in Scotland. A religious marriage (which includes other belief systems) and a civil ceremony.

Alcohol Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005

To allow the sale of alcohol at Dunglass an Occasional Licence must be granted by East Lothian Council Liscencing Board. This can be achieved very easily and the application must be lodged by a Premises Licence Holder, Personal Licence Holder or representative of a voluntary organisation. Our recommended caterers, event coordinators or outside bar providers can organise this on your behalf if you wish.  

Under the new law and to allow for statutory timeframes, Licensing Boards are requesting that applications for Occasional Licences are lodged with them at least 6 weeks prior to your event.
